Who does an In-Home Treatment Team consist of?
Team Member Bios Cristie Harbour, MSCristie is currently the Executive Co-Director/Founder of Foundations Counseling Center Inc where she has been splitting her time between administrative duties and being a primary intensive in-home counselor. Cristie has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UW-Superior and Master's Degree in Guidance and Counseling from UW- Whitewater. She has been a certified Medical Assistance mental health provider for over eleven years. Cristie's prior career experience includes thirteen years of county human service work including: crisis counseling, court-commitment supervision, child-abuse and neglect investigations, and ongoing child abuse and neglect and delinquency case management. She also has five years of experience in the private sector providing clinical supervision, administrative duties, and the development of an intensive in-home program. In total, Cristie has over twelve years of experience providing and administrating intensive in-home family therapy services. Alisa Kelly-Martina, MSSW, LCSW Alisa is currently the Executive Co-Director and Founder of Foundations Counseling Center Inc. Alisa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Spanish and has a Master's Degree in Social Work from UW-Madison. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified Medical Assistance provider in the state of Wisconsin. Alisa has eight years of experience working in the clinical social work field. In addition to her work as a primary intensive in-home counselor, Alisa's career experience includes working as a clinical case manager for foster children and as a supervisor for treatment foster parents. She also has experience providing outpatient counseling at the UW Counseling Center, working with uninsured hospital patients, including Spanish speaking patients, providing crisis counseling for non-profit homeless and domestic violence shelters, and coordinating wrap-around services to severely emotionally disturbed youth and their families. Katie Letcher, Office ManagerKatie joined Foundations Counseling Center in December 2005. She is able to manage all the office tasks and take care of all of us while just working part time! Katie is always upbeat, helpful and ready to answer any questions you may have. Bobbi Jo (BJ) Nichols, MSSW, APSW, RADC IBobbi Jo has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from UW-Eau Claire and a Master's Degree in Social Work from UW-Madison where she specialized in mental health and substance abuse/dual diagnosis. She is currently holds the title of Advanced Practice Social Worker and Registered Alcohol and Drug Counselor I and is working on her clinical hours to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Prior to obtaining her MSSW, BJ worked for several years with persons with disabilities and has been a volunteer for over seven years with Special Olympics. She has experience as an after school club coordinator for at-risk youth. More current work experience includes working as a juvenile delinquency worker and as a substance abuse counselor for adolescents and their families. Her focus areas include dual diagnoses and substance abuse counseling. BJ has been a secondary in-home family counselor with Foundations Counseling Center Inc since September, 2005. Rebecca Barthel, MS, MFTRebecca joined the Foundations staff in June of 2006. Rebecca received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Edgewood College and in May of 2006 she received her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy also from Edgewood. Rebecca completed her internship and continues to see clients at The Family Center in Madison. Rebecca is currently a Secondary In-Home Team Member for Foundations working in Columbia and Dodge Counties. Jessica Beckett, MA, LPCJessica has her Bachelor's Degree from UW-Green Bay in Psychology and Human Development. She received her Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Illinois University in 2001. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Wisconsin and is a Medical Assistance certified provider. Jessica has been in this field for nine years and has experience at a residential treatment center for youth who were severely emotionally disturbed. Jessica has worked the last five years as a primary in-home family counselor. Her areas of expertise include treatment for self-harming behaviors and sexual abuse, play therapy, and working with children who have reactive attachment disorder and autism. Tammy Conrad, MS, LMFTTammy received an Associate Degree in Human Services from MATC, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Upper Iowa University and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Edgewood College. Before starting with Foundations, Tammy had been a primary In-Home Therapist at Family Service in Madison since 1989. Tammy's career achievement's are vast, but most impressive are her activity with FAST where she is a Certified National Trainer. She has also been a guest lecturer at Edgewood College. Amanda Crabtree, BS Amanda is a secondary intensive in-home team member with bachelor's degrees in Human Services and Spanish. She is currently attending UW-Milwaukee and is studying to earn her Master's Degree in Social Work. Amanda has experience working at a residential treatment facility in California with youth who had severe emotional disabilities and also has experience working with a domestic violence shelter and community support programs in the Fox Valley area. Amanda's personal interests include outdoor activities and international travel. Kelly Darby MSW, APSW Kelly started with Foundations in September, 2006 as a Secondary In-Home Team Member. Kelly received a Master's Degree in Social Work from U.W. Milwaukee in 2005. She has worked for Dean Clinic as a neuropsychometrist, helping provide neuropsychological testing with Dr. Peter Williamson. Kelly has also worked as a Social Worker at Mercy Hospital's Inpatient Psychiatric Unit in Janesville and did an internship at the VA hospital in Madison. Sarah Olson, MSC Sarah has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters of Counseling Education degree both from U.W. Platteville. Sarah graduated from her Master's program in May of 2006. While in graduate school, Sarah was a resident assistant, Peer Health Educator, and later a program director at the student dorms.Sarah has experience at a residential treatment center for youth in Dubuque. She also did her graduate internship with Lutheran Social Services' In-Home program. In addition to her position as a secondary team member with Foundations, Sarah is also a Service Coordinator for the CST program in Lafayette County. Jeff Schiffman, M.D. Jeff did his residency in psychiatry at the University of Miami. After graduating and moving to Madison, he split his time between Sauk County Department of Human Services and Madison Psychiatric Associates, Ltd. as staff psychiatrist for seven years. At the present time, he continues to work with Madison Psychiatric Associates and Tellurian in addition to the services he provides in his "spare" time for both Foundations Counseling Center Inc as well as Connections Counseling. Dr. Schiffman specializes in addictions and dual diagnoses with adolescents and adults. Dr. Schiffman is in the Foundations' office in Belleville one Friday a month for psychiatric assessments, treatment, and follow-up medication visits for clients, as well as consultation and staff supervision. Julia Smith MS, LMFTJulia graduated with a Master's Degree from Edgewood College's Marriage and Family Therapy program in May of 2004. Julia is licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist with her Medical Assistance provider status. Before joining Foundations, she had been working at Integrated Development Services in Madison since 2001 where she started as a Line Therapist and quickly worked her way up to becoming a Senior Therapist, Supervisor and Clinical Coordinator of their satellite clinic in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She did her graduate school internships at The Family Center in Madison and at The Mental Health Center of Dane County Julia also enjoys teaching yoga in her spare time. Michelle Zettle-Bruegger, MSC, APSW Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Counseling Education degrees from U.W. Oshkosh. Michelle earned her Master's degree in 1992. Following graduation Michelle started her career at Green County Human Services as an In-Home therapist. She provided In-Home therapy for Green County families for two years before transferring to the County's outpatient unit. Prior to joining Foundations as a Primary In-HomeTherapist, Michelle was the Supervisor of the Child Protection Unit at Iowa County Human Services where she not only supervised their social work staff but she also served on Iowa County's Family Preservation Task Force. Wendy Eames, MS, LPC Wendy is a primary in-home therapist, who earned a Bachelor's degree is Psychology with an emphasis on Human Services and a Master's Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Wendy has been with Foundations since April 2007. She comes to Foundations with prior in-home experience from Lutheran Social Services. Jason Artz, MSE Jason received his Bachelor's degree is Psychology and Criminal Justice from UW-Platteville in 2004. In 2007 he received his Master's in Counselor Education from UW-Platteville as well. Jason completed his Master's practicum at Foundations and officially started employment with the agency in June of 2007. When he has free time from helping families, Jason enjoys on and off road motorcycling, camping, frequenting antique shops, and listening to classic rock. He is also a member of Amnesty International, and participates in online activist work. His areas of interest in counseling and psychology include schizophrenia and religion, GLBT issues, as well as effects of media on adolescents. Justin WoodwardJustin is joining us from Edgewood College's Marriage and Family Therapy program. He graduated with his Master's Degree in May of 2007. Justin also did his internship with us so he has been with us since September 2006. Justin will be going with BJ Nichols to the Columbia and Dane counties. Kerry Taniguchi, LPC, ATR-BC Kerry graduated from Edgewood in 2002 with her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and in 2004 she graduated with her Masters in Art Therapy from Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She is a board certified Art Therapist and a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. She has day treatment experience and has been providing In-Home since 2004 at Family Service. Gina NauertzGina Nauertz started with Foundations at the end of October 2007 as an intern with our Coordinated Services Team (CST) with Lafayette County. Gina graduated with her Bachelors of Art in Criminal Justice from UW-Platteville in May of 2008. Gina will continue her education in the spring of 2009 pursing a Master's Degree in Community Counseling. Gina is continuing to work with the CST program in Lafayette County and she is also a secondary in-home therapist with Michelle. Gina also has experience working with the Department of Corrections as an intern as a Probation and Parole agent. Gina's personal interests include biking, walking her dog, making cards, church activities and spending time with family/friends. Maria Deitte, MS, MFTMaria joined foundations in February of 2008, as a secondary in-home therapist, after receiving a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University-Calumet. She had previously studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Prior to joining Foundations she gained experience while working with youth and families at Spring Valley Homeless Shelter and Tradewinds Rehabilitation Center. Sara FosterSara joined Foundations in August 2007 as an intern. She is in the process of completing her Masters in Social Work through UW-Milwaukee. She has an emphasis in Clinical and School Social Work. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from UW-Eau Claire in 2006. Sara has previously worked with children with Autism through an intensive in-home therapy program in Eau Claire for 3 years. She also has experience working as an intern with Milwaukee Public Schools. Nyle BiondiNyle joined Foundations in May 2008. Nyle has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Earlham College. She earned her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in May 2007. Prior to working at Foundations, Nyle spent two years working in a vocational agency providing services to adults with developmental disabilities, and four years as a special education assistant in an elementary school. Nyle completed internships at The Family Center and The Parental Stress Center in Madison. Danna HamlettDanna joined Foundations as a secondary in-home therapist in May 2008. She received her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in May of 2007. Danna brings experience working with children on the Autism spectrum in both in-home and social settings. Danns'a personal interests include knitting, camping, Nintendo, snowboarding, and her dog, Gehry. Erin HeckelsmilerErin Heckelsmiller came to Foundations in May 2007 as a clinical intern and was officially hired on in May 2008. Erin is a secondary intensive in-home team member in Rock, Dane and Jefferson counties. Erin received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Sociology at Wayne State College in Nebraska and completed her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Edgewood College in May 2008. |
